How to get to cuyabeno
Option 1: By Air (Via Coca)
- Flight Schedule: Two daily flights operate the Quito-Coca-Quito route. Both depart at 9:30 AM with a total flight duration of approximately 30 minutes.
- Aereoregional: Priced at about $110. Operates daily except on Sundays.
- LATAM: Priced up to $200. Operates daily including on Sundays.
- Ground Transfer: Private transfers from Coca to the Cuyabeno entrance cost $140 total (accommodating up to 4 passengers) and take approximately 3.5 hours.
- Extra canoes: Travelers by plane arrive at the entrance of Cuyabeno outside of regular hours. Therefore, extra canoes must be deployed twice, for which a total extra charge of $250 (the cost that is charged to us) must be applied.
Option 2: By Public Bus
- Estimated Cost: Approximately $20 USD per person.
- Departure Details: Overnight buses operated by the Putumayo line depart at approximately 11:00 PM from Quito’s South Terminal (Quitumbe). The terminal is accessible via the Quito Metro.
- Arrival at Cuyabeno: The bus arrives at the Cuyabeno entrance in the early morning. Your guide will meet you at the entrance gate between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
Option 3: By Private Bus
- Service Type: A dedicated, tourist-only bus service operating directly from Quito to Cuyabeno.
- Cost: $37 USD per person, each way.

Ltda. and the Cuyabeno Lodge (collectively, the “Company”) act solely as an administrative booking facilitator for third-party transportation (including air, land, and water transfers), independent tour guides, canoe-operators, and external service providers. All guides, drivers, and operators are independent contractors or separate commercial entities. The Company exercises no operational control over these third parties and assumes no direct, indirect, vicarious, or consequential liability for the quality, timeliness, execution, or safety of their services.
Express Assumption of Risk: The client, participant, or passenger (the “Releasor”) explicitly acknowledges and assumes all inherent and unexpressed risks associated with travel, remote wilderness environments, river navigation, canoe operations, and transit to or from any destination. The Releasor understands that these activities carry risks of property damage, illness, injury, or death.
Complete Release of Liability and Waiver of Claims: The Releasor, for themselves, their heirs, assigns, and legal representatives, unconditionally releases, waives, and forever discharges the Company, its owners, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, or causes of action—whether arising from negligence, operational delay, missed connections, property loss, personal injury, or death—arising out of or in any way connected to transportation, guided programs, or lodging operations, at any point during the itinerary or at any arrival/departure location required or utilized by the Releasor.
The company is not responsible for loss or theft of goods or money; The client should always guard his/her valuables.
